Al Habtoor Polo Resort Dubai

Located in Dubailand, very close to Arabian Ranches and Global Village, Al Habtoor Polo Resort has a very central location for majority of families residents of Dubai. Not so much our case since we live in the Marina, but I think we are probably the exception rather than the rule.

We spent a day using the hotel facilities with our (almost) 2 year old daughter, during the peak summer of Dubai in August and we used mainly the pool and the playground. We obviously had the buffet breakfast and below are our remarks:

First things first: the buffet. With a spacious salon and a beautiful horse in the middle of the room (surrounded by the hotel rooms, beautifully made), this buffet deserves the highlight for their Indian cuisine section. Simple selection of salads and vegetables, but very generous servings of their eggs station - I’m always trying to hit at least 30g of protein on each meal, so when I got my scrambled eggs with easily 3-4 eggs serving size I was really happy.

Our daughter was running around the room and luckily we are all early risers so the area was pretty empty and no one got hurt :)

They have a really nice indoor play area right next to the buffet, so parents of older kids can enjoy a quiet meal when the kids entertain themselves with the toys in the play room. Our baby still needs 24x7 monitoring but we will get there :)

Pool Area

Really great pool. They have 2 pools: one for adults with some small ‘islands’ for groups and families to gather, and a smaller and shaded pool for kids. We were moving from one pool to the other as our daughter is still super excited about water but can’t really stay too long doing the same activity.

I love how close the pool was to the outdoor playground, which was also shaded and was the perfect size to our 2 year old.

Just be careful with kids running around the pool as the floor could be really slippery.

We wanted to see the horses for our daughter but we didn’t have time - it got too close to her nap time, so we will do in another opportunity.

Overall we were really happy to explore the facilities of the hotel and recommend it for families trying to escape a bit from malls and indoor playgrounds in Dubai. Great option.
